"Working and living in London England, Dean started out in music photography over nine years ago and after making his passion his career made a somewhat seamless branch into film making. He has since worked with the likes of Rihanna, Madonna, Plan B, N-Dubz, McFly, One Direction, Kasabian, Beverley Knight, You Me At Six and Conor Maynard to name just a few.
As a young and somewhat successful live music and promo photographer, his eye for capturing natural moments and well-considered imagery tempted the seemingly natural exploration of motion picture into his work. Adapting that artistic style and almost entirely self-taught skill-base he created a series of simple but impacting promos with artists he had previously photographed.
Baring strong roots in music, fashion and advertising, he aims to utilize his image-obsessive side and bring his directorial vision to wider audiences and bigger screens in the near future. he recently finished runner up in the International Shorty Awards for the best Filmmakers Director category, 2012. This is an astonishing honor, and to receive over a 1,000 public votes for his work in music film-making is to Dean somewhat overwhelming (he finished runner up to Justin Bieber's filmmaker by the way!)
Dean has now gone on to work for Universal Music as official filmmaker and photographer of new pop indie band The Vamps. As of October 2013, Dean has directed, filmed and edited over 50 videos with the band amounting over 20 million views on the bands YouTube before they even released their first single 'Can We Dance'. He is also shooting a solo series of short films on the band which will be released in 2014."
